Youtube Song of the Day – 3/10/09
As much as I love Wolf Parade’s studio recordings, I think the live stuff I find on line is even better. So much energy, so much fun. “Fancy Claps” is an excellent example.
And, more poster fun.
Continuing with the poster art theme, I’ve been a big fan of the stuff Steve Walters/Screwball Press has done for a long time – if nothing else, you’ll recognize his wonderful Pavement poster (shown below) from John Cusack’s apartment in High Fidelity. Do yourself a favor and take some time to pore over the galleries on the SP website – such goooood stuff.

I’ve always been a big fan of Thomas Scott’s stuff at Eye Noise, but had somehow managed never to see this particular poster and fell in love with it when I came across it last night. Check out all of his stuff at the Eye Noise website. He’s got an excellent 3 posters for $25 deal going on through the rest of March, so definitely stock up.

Chocolate Cola Cake with Coconut-Pecan Frosting
Seriously. This has to be just wonderful. I have a feeling that if I were to make it, the cake would not get frosted. Chances are, I would end up in front of the TV with the bowl and a wooden spoon.

I’m sure there’s plenty of differing opinions, but I think Yo La Tengo’s “Sugarcube” is the best music video ever made.
Does creating a new blog mean I’ll keep up on it? I sure hope so.
Okay, so I decided that I needed to start a new blog just to post anything that I come across in my exploration of the internets that I think everyone else in the world needs to see. This could include music videos, taco stand reviews, internet comix, pro rasslin clips or anything else under the sun.
